Update 2025-8-7

Perhaps the biggest news for Project Warbird recently is we were contacted on behalf of a film production concerning Jimmy Stewart.

You see, the famed actor served in the Second World War with the 445BG, flying Consolidated B-24s. A film about his experiences is currently underway, with shooting primarily centered in Ireland. We were asked to consult on some aspects of production and may be called upon to do more as things get rolling. Should be interesting!

Update on Liberator II Maid of Athens

Turner and Jonathan got busy pulling parts out of the nose section. One of the parts they removed is a large casting. It goes under the cockpit control pedestal and all the cables run through it. It's really an amazing part. They are both working on their A&P license and want to become pilots.

So far we have finished ten of the oxygen bottles and have also found a few more parts.

For the 1941 Piper J5 and 1946 Aeronca 7AC Champion, it is back to doing fabric work. We have now started spraying the fuselage.
